Hogwarts Legacy features various treasure map side quests that test a player's observation skills and spellwork. Among these open-world activities, The Hippogriff Marks The Spot stands out as a rewarding adventure hidden in the southern regions of the map. Understanding how to find the parchment map and decipher its clues ensures you can secure the hidden loot without unnecessary hassle.

Finding Henrietta's Map in Poidsear Castle

To begin this quest, travel to the Poidsear Coast region and locate the bandit camp near Poidsear Castle. Search the tables inside the tents on the west side of the ruins to locate the rolled parchment known as Henrietta's Map. Picking up this item officially updates your log and reveals a sketch of a distinctive statue and a specific flame arrangement.

You can clear out the local Ashwinders beforehand or use the Disillusionment spell to quietly slip past the guards. Acquiring the map is essential because it provides the exact visual solution required for the final brazier puzzle. Once secured, prepare your gear and head toward the Manor Cape territory located further south.

Navigating Henrietta's Hideaway

Fly south toward the southern tip of Manor Cape to find the ancient, ruined fortress housing Henrietta's Hideaway. Access the entrance tucked beneath the ruins near the coast, being ready to face or bypass high-level enemies guarding the area. Upon stepping inside, you will immediately encounter the first spell cube barrier blocking access to the inner chambers.

To solve the entry puzzle, locate the missing spell cube by lighting the unlit brazier on the left wall using Confringo or Incendio. Use Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to place the fire cube onto its matching pedestal, then cast Glacius on the ice cube and Incendio on the fire cube. This combination opens the massive double doors leading directly to the central statue hall.

Solving the Hippogriff Statue Brazier Puzzle

After defeating the Ashwinders lurking in the central chamber, inspect the large Hippogriff statue dominating the room. Surrounding the creature is a circular arrangement of eight braziers that must match the illustration depicted on Henrietta's Map. Use the Glacius spell to extinguish unwanted flames and Incendio or Confringo to ignite the correct ones.

Standing directly in front of the statue, ensure that four specific braziers remain lit while the other four are completely extinguished. When aligned properly, a secret compartment in the wall behind the statue will slide open to reveal a valuable Collection Chest. Opening this chest completes the quest and rewards you with the Treasure-Seeker's Gloves.
